What we did:

Westfield Derby opened in October 2007 and quickly satisfied most, if not all, retailers’ requirements for space in Derby. The centre soon became established as the primary retailing location in Derby and now attracts more than 25 million visitors per annum.

However, with the downturn in the market in 2008/2009, Westfield Derby suffered a number of tenant failures and an increasing number of voids. Central Retail was appointed to help turn this situation around and to breathe new life into the marketing of the centre.

Central Retail worked in partnership with Westfield to consistently maintain occupancy levels at close to 100%, whilst improving tenant mix by attracting new retail names to Derby. Deals involved major national, multiple and quality independent retailers.
